MAP.004 — IPDNA · FILE FINGERPRINT RECORD

YOUR FILE.
YOUR RECORD.
FINGERPRINTED.

IPDNA records a SHA-256 fingerprint and timestamp for a selected file. That record can help document provenance and later comparison, but it does not by itself prove who created the work first, establish ownership, transfer rights, or replace copyright registration. Fingerprinting happens in the browser; beta storage and long-term availability are not guaranteed.

New registrations are paused. Existing record lookup remains available.

HOW IT WORKS · 60 SECONDS

THREE STEPS. NO UPLOAD.

01

Use a secure email link to sign in. Signing in does not create an IPDNA record. The Field Letter and text choices are optional.

02

FINGERPRINT IT

Choose your file. Your browser computes a SHA-256 fingerprint locally. The file itself never leaves your device.

03

RECORD STATUS

New records require registration to be open and a verified sign-in. Existing records can be looked up without signing in. Beta availability and retention are not guaranteed.

STEP 01 · ACCOUNT SIGN-IN

ACCOUNT SIGN-IN.

Request a secure account sign-in link. The Field Letter is optional; choosing it saves a separate pending request. Signing in does not enable paused IPDNA registration. Existing record lookup does not require sign-in. Member sign-in is available when the email service is active.

  • Planned art-release notices — only after rights, inventory, commerce, and delivery are verified.
  • Planned documentary notices — only for release-cleared work that actually publishes.
  • Planned maps and workflows — availability is stated per item when the asset exists.
  • Conditional beta invitations — subject to an active rail, capacity, and an explicit test scope.
  • No bounty or prize promise — any future opportunity requires separate published terms and funding approval.
